A one-day global education forum designed as a connected editorial journey, from digital registration and opening film to live dialogue and post-event media.

Held on 19 February 2022 at Expo 2020 Dubai, the Qudwa-PISA Global Competence Forum brought educators, policy experts and decision-makers together around the theme Preparing Students to Live in an Interconnected World. The event was hosted in collaboration with the OECD and the Bussola Institute, with an audience that included ministers of state, foreign royalty and OECD officials.

The forum's ambition depended as much on the quality and sequence of its content as on the live event environment. Evolution approached the project as an editorial ecosystem: the audience would first encounter the forum through its digital platform, move into a carefully structured day of speeches and discussion, and continue engaging through short-form media after the event. That approach gave the forum one continuous voice across programme development, speaker communication, scripts, collateral, film and audience information.

The Challenge

A one-day international forum has limited time to establish context, introduce complex educational ideas and create meaningful exchange among participants with very different professional and cultural perspectives.

The programme also carried high-level protocol and logistical requirements. Senior guests, speakers and international organisations needed clear communication and dependable support, while every script and media element had to remain aligned with the forum's educational objectives. The creative challenge was therefore not to add spectacle, but to make the content feel coherent before, during and after the live programme.

The Solution

Evolution worked with the client to shape the programme and content architecture, ensuring that speeches, discussions and supporting material remained connected to the theme of global competence. Speaker management and scriptwriting gave each contribution a clear place within the wider narrative rather than allowing the day to become a series of unrelated appearances.

A custom event website operated as the forum's digital front door, bringing registration, participant information and event communication into one accessible destination. This allowed the audience journey to begin before arrival and reduced the separation between administration and engagement.

The opening film established the forum's purpose and emotional tone at the start of the day. Event collateral then reinforced the same messages throughout the programme, while post-event short videos extended selected ideas into social channels after the live gathering had ended.

Evolution coordinated logistics and operations around the content plan, supporting the movement and requirements of high-profile attendees while maintaining a professional environment for educators and policy specialists.

Outcome

The Qudwa-PISA Forum operated as more than a single day of speeches. Participants encountered one consistent narrative through the website, event content, opening media and live discussions, making the theme easier to recognise across every stage of the experience.

The post-event content gave the forum a life beyond the room, carrying its central ideas into a wider education conversation after delegates had left Expo 2020 Dubai.
