ENACT Majlis brought more than 110 VIP leaders, policymakers and decision-makers together for invitation-only discussions on climate, technology and energy. The conference was conceived in a majlis format, prioritising comfort, proximity and strategic exchange over the conventions of a large auditorium.

Evolution's task was to create an environment in which influential participants could contribute freely across several rooms while still experiencing one coherent event. The design needed to feel discreet and hospitable, but technically capable of carrying complex content and simultaneous conversations.

The resulting format treated dialogue as the central experience. Scenic design, content, audio systems and hospitality were organised around the quality of the exchange rather than around spectacle.

The Challenge

A closed-door conference depends on intimacy and audibility. More than 40 handheld microphones were required to support discussion across multiple rooms, while over 160 square metres of LED walls had to present content without making the majlis feel like a conventional broadcast studio.

The event also required substantial technical infrastructure, including a large ground-support rigging system, room transformations, custom carpeting and a dedicated VIP group-photo platform. These elements needed to work together without interrupting the calm and composed character of the setting.

A private VIP dinner at Em Sherif in Rosewood Abu Dhabi added a separate hospitality experience on the evening before the conference, requiring continuity in service and guest management across both occasions.

The Solution

Evolution transformed the space into a series of connected discussion areas designed to encourage open dialogue and collaboration. Custom carpeting and full room transformations softened the conference environment, creating a more intimate and welcoming setting while maintaining clear circulation and visibility between participants.

The technical delivery was designed around the interactive nature of the majlis format. A backstage-operated system of more than 40 handheld microphones enabled delegates to contribute seamlessly from their seats, supporting a more open and conversational style of discussion.

The 160-square-metre LED installation provided a clear visual platform for supporting content while complementing the overall room environment. Tailored screen content reinforced the ENACT narrative under ADNOC, providing a consistent visual reference throughout the discussions.

A bespoke VIP group-photo platform created a formal moment of recognition and documentation while remaining aligned with the wider event environment.

Evolution also managed the pre-event dinner, extending the guest journey beyond the formal programme and creating an opportunity for relationship-building before the closed-door discussions began.

Hosted at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, UAE Climate Tech brought global climate leaders, innovators and technology providers together to explore practical responses to climate change. More than 80 international and local exhibitors presented developments ranging from renewable-energy systems to carbon-capture technologies.

The event needed to make an extensive field of technical innovation understandable at human scale. Evolution's role was to connect the conference, exhibition and sponsor environments so visitors could move from big-picture discussion into direct encounters with the technologies being described.

The resulting experience combined a central programme of opening content, fireside chats and panel discussions with an exhibition floor organised around discovery, demonstration and conversation.

The Challenge

The event had to accommodate a substantial exhibition population without allowing the hall to feel like a collection of unrelated stands. The floor plan needed to support more than 80 exhibitors, sponsor requirements, interactive displays and clear guest movement.

At the same time, the conference area carried high-profile content, including recorded speeches from Bill Gates and Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi. Audio, video, scenic design and audience sightlines needed to give that material appropriate clarity and significance.

The creative and operational response therefore had to treat the hall as one integrated climate-technology platform rather than separate conference and exhibition packages.

The Solution

Evolution designed the conference environment as the collective centre of the event, supporting the opening ceremony, fireside conversations and panel discussions within a focused visual frame. The stage and content systems were developed together so prerecorded contributions, live speakers and presentation material could move through the programme without breaking continuity.

Across the exhibition, a considered floor plan created visible routes through more than 80 international and local exhibitors. Sponsor stands and exhibition spaces were designed as related parts of the same environment, with interactive displays, virtual-reality experiences and live demonstrations giving visitors different ways to understand the technologies presented.

Evolution's in-house scenic capability fabricated the exhibitor and sponsor environments to a consistent standard, while technical teams managed the event's audio and visual systems. Tailored furniture supported discussion, demonstrations and moments of pause across the hall.

Sandooq Al Watan hosted its inaugural Al Awa’el Retreat at Manarat Al Saadiyat on 6 March 2018, bringing donors and supporting partners together around the organisation’s contribution to the UAE’s economic and social development.

The retreat was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, then Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, reflecting the significance of the programme and the people being recognised.

Evolution designed the environment around contribution made visible. The stage, interactive gallery, group photo platform and symbolic tree installation each gave donors a different place within the story of the organisation.

The Challenge

Donor recognition can become overly formal when every achievement is delivered through speeches and awards. The retreat needed to acknowledge individual and collective contribution while also explaining what that support had enabled Sandooq Al Watan to achieve.

The environment therefore had to move between presentation, storytelling, commemoration and senior protocol. Every element had to feel considered and appropriate to the occasion, reinforcing the wider purpose of Sandooq Al Watan’s work.

Evolution designed and constructed a stage with an integrated screen, creating a clear setting for presentations and recognition while keeping content central to the visual composition.

An interactive gallery presented key Sandooq Al Watan achievements, allowing guests to engage with the organisation’s progress beyond the formal stage programme.

A bespoke tree installation represented donors as leaves, turning the relationship between individual support and collective growth into a simple, memorable physical metaphor.

A dedicated group photo platform accommodated all donors and provided a ceremonial point for collective commemoration. Audio, lighting and visual systems supported the gallery, stage and wider atmosphere throughout the retreat.

For Saudi National Day 2022, Cirque du Soleil presented a large-scale performance in Riyadh built around expressive stage design, performers and custom scenic objects.

Evolution collaborated with renowned stage designer Stéphane Roy to translate the creative vision into a complete physical production. The role was one of disciplined realisation: preserving the artistry of the original designs while resolving how every component would be engineered, fabricated, transported and installed.

The result was a scenic system in which structural performance and visual storytelling were inseparable. Props, automated elements and stage components needed to feel theatrical onstage while meeting the practical demands of an international touring-standard production.

The Challenge

Complex scenic concepts often begin as expressive forms rather than construction packages. Each design had to be converted into buildable geometry, material specifications, structural details and mechanisms without losing the movement or character intended by the stage designer.

The production was fabricated in Dubai and delivered to Riyadh. That made transport planning, packing, reassembly and installation part of the design process, because every element had to arrive in sequence and perform exactly as intended on the Saudi stage.

The Solution

Evolution developed the technical design for the complete scenic package, converting the supplied creative direction into detailed fabrication and construction solutions.

The build drew on metalwork, carpentry, 3D production, fibreglass, automation, electronics and specialist painting. This mix allowed structural scenic components and bespoke stage props to carry both the visual detail and physical resilience required by the performance.

Automation and electronic systems were integrated into the scenic construction where movement or live control formed part of the design. These systems were tested alongside the physical components rather than treated as separate technical additions.

All elements were prepared for cross-border transport from the UAE to Saudi Arabia, then installed and assembled in Riyadh through a coordinated production sequence designed around the show programme.

Kennedy London engaged Evolution to deliver scenic fabrication and installation for the Forever Valentino exhibition at M7 Doha in 2022.

The exhibition celebrated Valentino’s history through the relationship between the fashion house, Rome and the designer’s career. Evolution’s role was to translate supplied creative concepts into technically resolved, transportable and exhibition-ready scenic environments.

The physical response needed to carry the scale and romance of Roman references while meeting the precision, finish and durability expected of an international fashion exhibition.

The Challenge

Architectural and sculptural concepts created for an exhibition are not automatically buildable. Each element required fabrication drawings, technical calculations, structural development and careful material selection before it could be produced safely.

The work was fabricated in the UAE and shipped to Qatar. Packing, transport and reinstallation therefore had to be considered within the engineering process so the completed scenic features would arrive with their finish and geometry protected.

The Solution

Evolution developed detailed fabrication drawings and technical calculations for the exhibition package, creating a controlled route from supplied design intent into construction and installation.

A representation of Rome’s Colosseum formed a principal centrepiece, combining structural stability with a contemporary exhibition finish. A recreated statue provided another sculptural focal point, while additional displays referenced significant moments in Valentino’s history.

Metalwork, timber framing and specialised fabrics were selected to create varied textures and forms suited to the exhibition’s meeting of modern presentation and historical reference.

Evolution developed a coordinated cross-border delivery approach, managing fabrication in the UAE, international logistics and onsite installation in Qatar. For Sole DXB 2019, Jack Morton Worldwide commissioned Evolution to design and construct a triple-deck Adidas pavilion within Dubai Design District.

The creative language drew on the gritty architecture of the London Underground. Rather than applying an urban graphic treatment to a conventional stand, the structure itself became the brand experience through layered levels, structural rhythm and integrated retail display.

A second-level VIP viewing deck extended the purpose beyond product presentation, giving invited guests a premium relationship with the festival’s main stage and making the pavilion part of the wider event experience.

The Challenge

The design needed to achieve the visual density of an underground transport environment while operating as a functional retail, hospitality and viewing structure across three levels.

Because the pavilion carried guests above ground level, structural performance and approval were central to the concept. The experience could only open if its immersive design was supported by a robust engineering solution and Municipality compliance.

The Solution

Evolution designed and built the structure using an innovative TSG hybrid system, creating the industrial geometry and layered architecture required for the London Underground-inspired environment.

Retail displays were integrated directly into the pavilion so products appeared within the spatial story rather than inside a separate merchandising zone.

The upper VIP viewing deck was positioned to create a premium outlook towards the Sole DXB main stage. This gave the stand a role beyond retail and encouraged guests to remain within the Adidas environment during the live festival programme.

A detailed STAAD structural analysis was completed to secure Municipality approval, aligning the visual ambition with the safety and compliance requirements of the three-level temporary structure.
