• ADNOC at ADIPEC

A focused ADNOC exhibition environment connecting offshore, digitalisation, smart manufacturing and decarbonisation through distinct content zones and integrated technology.

ADIPEC 2022 brought more than 160,000 participants from 164 countries to Abu Dhabi, with over 2,200 exhibiting companies and 28 international country pavilions represented across the event.

Within the Smart Manufacturing Zone, Evolution was entrusted with designing and producing the ADNOC stand. The creative opportunity was to make several complex areas of innovation feel related, accessible and clearly connected to ADNOC’s wider leadership in the energy sector.

The stand was organised around four focus areas: Offshore and Marine, Digitalisation in Energy, Smart Manufacturing and Decarbonisation. Each required its own content space, while the full environment needed to read as one coherent ADNOC experience.

    The Challenge

Energy and industrial innovation can become difficult to navigate when every subject relies on technical language, screens and demonstration content. The stand needed a strong visual hierarchy capable of helping a diverse international audience understand where to begin and what each zone represented.

The design also had to comply with ADIPEC exhibition guidelines and draw selected inspiration from ADNOC’s earlier Make it in the Emirates Forum stand, while establishing a distinct presence appropriate to the scale of the world’s largest energy gathering.

Large LED presentation wall supporting live demonstrations at the ADNOC exhibition stand

    The Solution

Evolution developed dedicated zones for Offshore and Marine, Digitalisation in Energy, Smart Manufacturing and Decarbonisation. The spatial separation gave each topic clarity, while recurring materials, brand cues and architectural features maintained continuity across the stand.

Advanced audio, video and lighting systems supported presentations and interactive content throughout the environment. Technology was integrated into the stand architecture so digital information and live explanation remained part of the visitor journey rather than appearing as equipment added after the design.

Presentation tools and interactive applications gave visitors several ways to engage with ADNOC’s work. The combination of structured content zones and responsive media helped translate industrial subject matter into a more direct exhibition experience.

Central coordination of design, fabrication and technical integration ensured that the stand’s physical and digital elements opened as one complete platform for ADNOC.

    Delivery Highlights

    • ADNOC exhibition stand within ADIPEC’s Smart Manufacturing Zone.
    • Four dedicated content areas covering Offshore and Marine, Digitalisation, Smart Manufacturing and Decarbonisation.
    • Design informed by ADNOC’s established exhibition language and ADIPEC requirements.
    • Integrated audio, video and lighting systems.
    • Interactive applications and presentation tools for an international audience.

  • ADNOC Jubilee

A full-day employee and family celebration using 50 personal stories, a future-facing hashtag and a synchronised pledge to connect ADNOC’s legacy with what comes next.

In December 2021, ADNOC combined its Jubilee with the UAE's 50th National Day in a full-day event for employees and their families. The occasion needed to recognise the company's milestones, celebrate the people behind them and express optimism about the future.

Evolution developed a series of installations around three ideas: memory, identity and collective commitment. Employee stories represented the organisation's human legacy, familiar ADNOC symbols connected the event to daily working life, and the Pledge booth linked participants across eight locations.

The celebration therefore moved beyond anniversary branding, giving employees and families several ways to see themselves within ADNOC's history and future direction.

    The Challenge

A dual Jubilee and National Day celebration carries multiple narratives. ADNOC's corporate history, the UAE's national milestone, employee recognition and future ambition all needed to be present without becoming a collection of unrelated displays.

The experience also extended across eight ADNOC locations through the Pledge booth, requiring a participatory feature that could create a shared sense of unity beyond the principal event site.

Guests at the ADNOC Jubilee UAE 50th National Day event in front of a red, green, white and black hard-hat installation

    The Solution

Evolution created a gallery of the 50 most inspiring employee stories, placing personal achievement at the centre of the anniversary narrative. The gallery turned the organisation's history into a collection of individual contributions that colleagues and families could recognise and discuss.

A supersized #50more installation shifted attention from the milestone already reached to the future ahead. Its scale made it a focal point and photography feature, while the wording linked ADNOC's Jubilee with continued progress.

A branded wall made from helmets in the colours of the UAE flag connected national pride with ADNOC's field culture. The familiar safety object was reassembled as a collective symbol, bringing operational identity into the celebratory environment.

The Pledge booth was synchronised across eight ADNOC locations, allowing employees in different places to participate in a shared expression of commitment. Evolution coordinated the physical installation and technical connection so the activation could operate as one company-wide moment.

    Delivery Highlights

    • Full-day Jubilee and UAE National Day event for employees and families.
    • Gallery featuring 50 inspiring ADNOC employee stories.
    • Supersized #50more installation focused on future ambition.
    • UAE flag-coloured helmet wall referencing ADNOC field culture.
    • Participatory Pledge booth synchronised across eight locations.
    • Integrated scenic, branding and technical delivery.
Outdoor story panels honouring employee achievements across ADNOC’s fifty-year history

    Outcome

The Jubilee connected ADNOC's corporate milestone to the people and practices that shaped it. Employee stories gave the celebration a human centre, while the helmet wall and #50more installation linked national identity, operational heritage and future ambition.

Through the synchronised pledge, participation extended beyond one venue, allowing employees across eight locations to contribute to the same anniversary moment.

  • ADIPEC Awards

A 42-metre stage, synchronised table lighting and nominee-led pre-function experience created for more than 600 energy-sector guests at Emirates Palace.

In October 2022, DMG Events and ADNOC hosted the 12th ADIPEC Awards at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, welcoming more than 600 guests to recognise businesses and individuals shaping the future of the energy sector.

The creative requirement was to give recognition a sense of scale. Evolution designed the evening so the awardees, nominee stories and energy-sector achievements were present throughout the guest journey, not confined to the moment an envelope was opened.

A wide scenic composition established the ceremony’s authority, while programmable lighting, screen content and nominee displays connected the dining room, stage and pre-function experience through one visual narrative.

    The Challenge

Awards evenings must balance celebration with precision. More than 600 guests needed an elegant hospitality environment, clear sightlines and an uninterrupted show sequence, while nominees and winners required a platform capable of carrying both personal stories and industry significance.

The scale of the ballroom created another challenge: the stage had to feel commanding without overwhelming the guests closest to it. Table centrepieces, multiple screens and pre-function content also needed to behave as parts of the same awards identity rather than isolated production features.

ADIPEC Awards 2022 ballroom dinner setup with illuminated tables and a dramatic circular stage backdrop.

    The Solution

Evolution developed a 42-metre-wide main stage with custom scenic architecture and programmable lighting. Multiple screens were integrated across the composition, with a circular branded screen positioned behind the lectern to create a consistent visual centre for speeches, presentations and winner moments.

Custom animations, films and screen content gave the ceremony an editorial rhythm, allowing each category to arrive with its own visual energy while remaining within the wider ADIPEC Awards language. Evolution Events led this content and media work, with technical systems supporting precise playback and show control.

Programmable table centrepieces synchronised the guest environment with key show moments, extending the ceremony beyond the stage. In the pre-function area, nominee displays and photo backdrops allowed recognition to begin from arrival and gave guests a clear opportunity to engage with the award categories before entering the ballroom.

Photography and video coverage documented the evening, while coordinated scenic, technical and live-event planning protected the transitions between hospitality, speeches, category content and presentations.

    Delivery Highlights

    • Design and production of the 12th ADIPEC Awards at Emirates Palace.
    • A 42-metre-wide main stage with custom scenic elements and programmable lighting.
    • Multiple integrated screens and a circular branding screen behind the lectern.
    • Custom animations, films and screen content supporting award storytelling.
    • Programmable table centrepieces synchronised with the event identity.
    • Pre-function nominee displays and dedicated photo-backdrop walls.
    • Photography and video coverage documenting the ceremony.
Panoramic shot of Abu Dhabi ballroom filled with energy industry professionals during awards

    Outcome

The completed environment gave the ADIPEC Awards a visual scale equal to the achievements being recognised. Guests encountered the nominees from the pre-function area onward, while the stage, tables and content worked together to build anticipation across the evening.

Recognition was therefore experienced as a complete hospitality and storytelling journey: personal enough to honour individual winners, yet substantial enough to represent the influence of the global energy sector.

  • Adidas at Sole DXB

A three-level Adidas pavilion inspired by the London Underground combined immersive urban design, retail displays and an elevated VIP view of the festival stage.

For Sole DXB 2019, Jack Morton Worldwide commissioned Evolution to design and construct a triple-deck Adidas pavilion within Dubai Design District.

The creative language drew on the gritty architecture of the London Underground. Rather than applying an urban graphic treatment to a conventional stand, the structure itself became the brand experience through layered levels, structural rhythm and integrated retail display.

A second-level VIP viewing deck extended the purpose beyond product presentation, giving invited guests a premium relationship with the festival’s main stage and making the pavilion part of the wider event experience.

    The Challenge

The design needed to achieve the visual density of an underground transport environment while operating as a functional retail, hospitality and viewing structure across three levels.

Because the pavilion carried guests above ground level, structural performance and approval were central to the concept. The experience could only open if its immersive design was supported by a robust engineering solution and Municipality compliance.

Adidas Originals immersive retail environment at Sole DXB with graffiti graphics, product displays and branded checkout area

    The Solution

Evolution designed and built the structure using an innovative TSG hybrid system, creating the industrial geometry and layered architecture required for the London Underground-inspired environment.

Retail displays were integrated directly into the pavilion so products appeared within the spatial story rather than inside a separate merchandising zone.

The upper VIP viewing deck was positioned to create a premium outlook towards the Sole DXB main stage. This gave the stand a role beyond retail and encouraged guests to remain within the Adidas environment during the live festival programme.

A detailed STAAD structural analysis was completed to secure Municipality approval, aligning the visual ambition with the safety and compliance requirements of the three-level temporary structure.

    Delivery Highlights

    • Triple-deck Adidas pavilion at Sole DXB 2019.
    • Creative direction inspired by the London Underground.
    • Innovative TSG hybrid structural system.
    • Integrated retail displays and urban architectural details.
    • Second-level VIP viewing deck facing the festival main stage.
    • Detailed STAAD analysis supporting Municipality approval.
    • Complete design, construction and compliant event installation.
Large Adidas Originals brand pavilion at Sole DXB Dubai with retail spaces, scenic graphics and multi-level event structure

    Outcome

The pavilion gave Adidas a visible architectural presence within Sole DXB. Visitors could browse product, explore the layered environment and experience the festival from an elevated brand-owned viewpoint.

The immersive quality came from the building itself: structural design, retail function and hospitality were combined into one recognisable urban experience rather than added as separate stand features.

  • ADGM Tenth Anniversary

A decade of ADGM milestones brought to life through an illuminated timeline, live hospitality, entertainment and a synchronised outdoor finale for 500 guests.

Abu Dhabi Global Market marked ten years of innovation, growth and community impact with an outdoor anniversary celebration at Tripico in Abu Dhabi. The event was designed for up to 500 guests and needed to honour ADGM's first decade while expressing confidence in the years ahead.

Evolution shaped the experience around the idea of a journey through time. Guests encountered ADGM's milestones through a dynamic LED timeline, moved through a relaxed landscape of food and entertainment, and gathered for a final show moment that connected video, music, lasers, lighting and fireworks.

The anniversary story was therefore not confined to speeches. It was carried through the venue, the guest experience and the sequence of the evening.

    The Challenge

The venue required a significant physical transformation before it could support a large outdoor celebration. The venue’s existing swimming pool had to be covered with a load-bearing platform capable of accommodating the event environment and up to 500 guests while maintaining the intended guest experience.

At the same time, the programme needed to balance institutional storytelling with hospitality and entertainment. Historical content had to feel engaging rather than purely retrospective, while food stations, live music, the Glambot activation and the finale needed to come together as one cohesive anniversary experience.

The final reveal brought together multiple show elements that required precise timing and coordiantion. Each component needed to work seamlesssly with the next to create a memorable closing moment for guests.

Live orchestral performance stage set with precision acoustic monitoring systems in Abu Dhabi

    The Solution

Evolution transformed the pool area into a continuous event platform, creating the spatial foundation for the guest environment. Curated furniture settings, including sofas, coffee tables, barstools and accent chairs, gave the outdoor venue a refined but informal character suited to conversation and celebration.

A custom timeline wall used eleven LED panels to present milestones from ADGM's ten-year journey. Positioned as an active piece of storytelling rather than a static display, it allowed guests to encounter the organisation's history as part of their movement through the venue. A large three-dimensional ADGM logo provided a clear visual anchor and photography moment.

Live food stations added energy and choice throughout the evening, while a saxophonist welcomed guests and a deep-house fusion band shifted the atmosphere towards celebration. The Glambot activation gave attendees a personalised media moment within the wider event identity.

The finale brought the programme together through a three-minute bespoke video reveal, laser effects, a synchronised lighting sequence and fireworks set to ADGM's original AI-created anniversary song. Each element was programmed as part of one progression, allowing the celebration to conclude with a shared expression of legacy and future ambition.

    Delivery Highlights

    • Full outdoor event transformation for up to 500 guests.
    • Load-bearing platform installed over the swimming pool.
    • Timeline wall featuring eleven LED panels and ADGM milestone content.
    • Large three-dimensional ADGM logo as a central visual anchor.
    • Curated furniture and live food stations across the venue.
    • Glambot activation, arrival saxophonist and deep-house fusion band.
    • Bespoke video, lasers, synchronised lighting and fireworks finale.

ADGM 10-year anniversary branded landmark installation positioned along the waterfront

    Outcome

The anniversary allowed ADGM's first decade to be experienced as a sequence rather than presented as a conventional retrospective. Guests moved between milestones, hospitality and entertainment before coming together for a finale that looked deliberately towards the future.

The transformed outdoor setting gave the occasion both scale and warmth, creating a celebration that felt institutional in significance but personal in the way guests encountered it.

  • Abu Dhabi Dream Ball

Art Deco furniture, gold table layers, pampas centrepieces, media walls and auction galleries created an elegant fundraising setting within a charitable budget.

The Abu Dhabi Dream Ball was founded by ITP Media Group and Sawtouna to support philanthropy, voluntarism and the empowerment of women and children.

For the 2020 event, Evolution was asked to create an elegant guest environment while respecting the financial constraints appropriate to a charitable initiative.

The creative approach used a focused Art Deco language across the ballroom, pre-function and gallery spaces, concentrating investment on the elements guests would experience most closely: tables, furniture, arrival, media and auction presentation.

    The Challenge

A charity gala must feel sufficiently special to support donor engagement without allowing the event environment to appear excessive or disconnected from the cause. Every design decision had to balance elegance, practicality and responsible budget use.

The experience also extended beyond the dining room. Arrival, press photography, auction displays and indoor and outdoor gallery elements needed to carry the same visual character so guests encountered one coherent evening from the first red carpet onward.

    The Solution

Evolution provided the complete ballroom furniture setup and developed the table décor around an Art Deco direction. Sparkling gold overlays created a formal base, balanced by white pampas-grass centrepieces arranged in themed vases.

Bespoke napkin rings introduced a smaller layer of detail at each place setting, helping the guest experience feel considered without requiring an overly complex decorative package.

The pre-function area became the principal arrival and media zone through red carpets, media walls and a gallery of auction items. This allowed press activity and fundraising content to form part of the guest journey rather than remaining separate operational requirements.

Indoor and outdoor gallery elements were coordinated through the same event language, giving the ball continuity across hospitality, media and charitable engagement while maintaining control of the available budget.

    Delivery Highlights

    • Charitable gala supporting philanthropy, voluntarism and women and children.
    • Complete ballroom furniture and table-décor package.
    • Art Deco-inspired visual treatment.
    • Gold table overlays and white pampas-grass centrepieces.
    • Bespoke napkin rings and themed table details.
    • Red-carpet pre-function and dedicated media walls.
    • Indoor and outdoor galleries displaying auction items.
Abu Dhabi Dream Ball branded media wall prepared for red carpet arrivals.

    Outcome

The Dream Ball achieved a premium sense of arrival and hospitality without losing sight of its charitable purpose or budget. Guests moved through media, auction and dining environments that felt deliberately connected rather than separately dressed.

The Art Deco treatment gave the event distinction, while the concentration on furniture, tables and guest-facing details ensured resources were used where they could have the strongest effect on the evening.
