• French Pavilion @ Expo 2020 - Dubai, 2021

Custom displays, interactive elements and an intuitive visitor layout created a focused Renault story within the wider France Pavilion at Expo 2020.

Within the France Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, the Renault stand provided a dedicated platform for the brand’s technologies, products and sustainability commitments.

The challenge was to create a distinct Renault experience without disconnecting it from the wider national pavilion. Evolution developed the fit-out as a focused layer within the existing architecture, balancing brand visibility, product communication and visitor movement.

The stand used custom-built displays and interactive elements to move the experience beyond passive presentation, allowing visitors to encounter Renault’s innovation through the physical layout and points of engagement.

    The Challenge

Expo visitors move quickly through dense environments containing many competing stories. The Renault space needed an immediately understandable route and enough visual distinction to encourage people to stop and explore.

The installation also had to remain durable and precise throughout the long Expo operating period. Interactive features, display surfaces and circulation needed to maintain both appearance and function under sustained public use.

    Image description

    The Solution

Evolution designed and constructed custom display elements around Renault’s innovation and sustainability themes, giving products and information clear positions within the stand.

Interactive features created direct visitor engagement and introduced variation within the journey, allowing the brand story to be discovered rather than only read.

The layout was planned around intuitive circulation and comfortable interaction. Visitors could approach, understand the principal displays and move through the space without disrupting the surrounding pavilion flow.

High-quality materials and precision fabrication were selected for visual finish and structural durability, supporting the demands of a long-duration public exhibition.

  • Heriot-Watt Climate Hub

A two-week climate hub transformed through scenic design, furniture, signage and communication materials into a platform for international dialogue.

Launched in late November 2023, the Heriot-Watt University Climate Hub operated for two weeks alongside COP28 in Dubai. The initiative was created as a platform for international dialogue, new partnerships and practical discussion around the global climate challenge.

The attendance of His Majesty King Charles III underlined the profile of the programme, but the environment also needed to work across many days for a wider community of speakers, partners and attendees.

Evolution approached the hub as a temporary climate commons: a setting that could feel credible for high-level participation while remaining open, legible and welcoming enough for repeated conversation and collaboration.

    The Challenge

A two-week event has different demands from a single conference day. Scenic elements, furniture, signage and collateral need to remain durable and consistent, while the environment must support changing programme content and a steady flow of stakeholders.

The COP28 context also placed the hub among a dense field of climate initiatives. It needed a distinct and professional identity capable of communicating Heriot-Watt University's role without relying on excessive visual treatment.

High-profile attendance increased the requirement for a polished setup, clear wayfinding and dependable venue operations.

    Image description

    The Solution

Evolution developed a cohesive creative treatment across furniture, backdrops, signage and decorative components. These elements transformed the venue into a recognisable hub while preserving the flexibility required for different discussions and partnership activity over the two-week programme.

The visual approach focused on clear communication and an inviting atmosphere. Backdrops and branding established identity at key viewpoints, while furniture supported both formal discussion and less structured conversation between sessions.

Brochures, banners and supporting collateral carried the same language beyond the principal spaces, helping attendees understand the initiative and navigate its content. Media coverage documented the programme and extended its visibility within the wider COP28 conversation.

Evolution coordinated the setup and ongoing operations around the programme's high standards, allowing the environment to remain consistent as participants, activities and daily requirements changed.

    Delivery Highlights

    • Two-week Climate Hub delivered alongside COP28 in Dubai.
    • Event environment supporting international climate dialogue and partnership building.
    • Scenic backdrops, signage, decorative components and branded features.
    • Furniture for formal and informal discussion settings.
    • Brochures, banners and collateral supporting communication and visibility.
    • Media coverage across the initiative.
    • Venue setup and operational support for a high-profile programme.

    Outcome

The Climate Hub provided Heriot-Watt University with a clear and adaptable physical presence during COP28. Its environment could host prominent visitors and formal discussions while continuing to support everyday exchange across the full two-week period.

The result was a platform that felt established rather than temporary, giving climate dialogue, partnership and university-led expertise a consistent place within a crowded international programme.

  • Global Faith Leaders Dinner

Four hundred global faith leaders welcomed through oud, gahwa, traditional scents and Emirati cuisine at Emirates Palace ahead of COP28.

As a prelude to COP28, the Global Faith Leaders Gala Dinner brought 400 distinguished faith leaders from around the world to Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The evening was designed to foster unity and connection while introducing guests to the depth of Emirati culture. Evolution approached hospitality as a sensory form of storytelling, using music, aroma, taste and human welcome to create common ground before formal global climate discussions.

The experience did not rely on a single performance or decorative theme. Cultural elements were layered through the evening so guests could encounter Emirati tradition through several senses and at different moments in the programme.

    The Challenge

The event welcomed senior faith leaders from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, requiring an environment that balanced dignity, warmth and inclusivity. Every aspect of the guest experience needed to reflect UAE hospitality while ensuring all attendees felt equally respected and welcomed.

Hosted at Emirates Palace, the event also demanded a restrained and authentic design approach. Traditional entertainment, Emirati hospitality and formal dining needed to be carefully integrated, creating a programme that encouraged conversation and cultural exchange without overshadowing the purpose of the gathering.

Beautifully styled banquet tables prepared for the Global Faith Leaders Gala Dinner

    The Solution

Evolution curated an oud performance to establish a calm musical atmosphere rooted in Emirati tradition. The performance introduced the evening’s cultural language without interrupting the social purpose of the gathering.

A sensory guest journey incorporated the aroma and ritual of gahwa, traditional oils and Emirati cuisine. These elements allowed culture to be experienced through welcome and hospitality, creating natural prompts for conversation among delegates.

Evolution coordinated the guest journey, cultural programme and live event operations for 400 international faith leaders, ensuring each stage of the evening flowed naturally from arrival through to dinner. Every element was carefully integrated to maintain the dignity of the occasion while supporting meaningful interaction between guests.

The result was an experience where Emirati hospitality became the primary expression of the event's purpose, creating an environment that encouraged dialogue, mutual respect and shared understanding across cultures and faiths.

    Delivery Highlights

    • Gala dinner for 400 distinguished global faith leaders at Emirates Palace.
    • Cultural hospitality programme developed as a prelude to COP28.
    • Curated oud performance introducing traditional Emirati sound.
    • Gahwa coffee ritual and traditional aromatic oils incorporated into the guest experience.
    • Emirati cuisine presented as part of the cultural narrative.
    • Environment designed around unity, connection and inclusive hospitality.
    • Full event coordination and management for a senior international audience.
Evolution Events delivered an immersive cultural gala for the Global Faith Leaders Dinner ahead of COP28

    Outcome

The dinner created connection through shared experience rather than formal messaging alone. Music, scent, coffee and cuisine gave guests a direct encounter with Emirati hospitality while leaving space for dialogue across cultures and traditions.

The evening set a thoughtful tone for the conversations ahead of COP28, presenting the UAE not only as host, but as an active cultural participant in the gathering.

  • ADNOC Emirati Women’s Day 2019

    Image description

ADNOC celebrated Emirati Women's Day on 28 August 2019 at Manarat Al Saadiyat under the theme Create, Communicate, Collaborate. More than 1,000 attendees, including senior management, gathered to recognise the contributions of Emirati women across professional life, family, creativity and personal interests.

The event deliberately moved away from ADNOC's traditional visual language. A palette of green, yellow and red introduced greater energy, while a series of galleries, stages and activations allowed the theme to be explored through participation rather than a single formal programme.

Evolution transformed the venue into a celebration of different identities and achievements, balancing corporate polish with warmth, colour and play.

    The Challenge

The experience needed to feel recognisably connected to ADNOC while giving Emirati Women's Day a more expressive identity of its own. With more than 1,000 guests, the design also had to support circulation and repeated engagement across several activities.

Professional achievement was only one part of the story. Hobbies, personal interests, collaboration and social interaction all needed a place within the environment, requiring a format more varied than a conventional stage-led corporate event.

    The Solution

Evolution created an employee gallery dedicated to hobbies and personal achievements, making individual stories visible beyond job titles. The feature broadened the event narrative and gave colleagues new ways to recognise one another.

A replica ADNOC petrol station became a familiar but unexpected visual centrepiece. By reinterpreting an element closely associated with the brand, the installation created a playful connection between the company's identity and the celebratory atmosphere.

Multiple activation stages supported quizzes, workshops, social-media interaction and photography. Floor stickers, mirror decals and branded ice-cream cups extended the visual language into smaller guest touchpoints, making the colour and theme present throughout the venue rather than concentrated on the main stage.

The complete environment was planned to accommodate over 1,000 attendees while allowing guests to choose how they participated, from observing the gallery to joining workshops and social activations.

    Delivery Highlights

    • Emirati Women's Day event for more than 1,000 guests at Manarat Al Saadiyat.
    • Creative design based on the theme Create, Communicate, Collaborate.
    • Employee gallery celebrating hobbies and personal achievements.
    • Replica ADNOC petrol station as a visual centrepiece.
    • Quiz, workshop, social-media and photography activations.
    • Floor graphics, mirror decals and branded hospitality details.
    • Full venue transformation using a vibrant green, yellow and red palette.
Empowering national forum stage set with floral accents and soft lighting in Abu Dhabi

    Outcome

The celebration gave Emirati women a platform that recognised professional contribution alongside creativity, interests and personal identity. Guests could encounter those stories through a varied environment rather than a single sequence of speeches.

The colour, interactive stages and familiar ADNOC references created an event that felt celebratory and distinctive while remaining connected to the organisation and its people.

  • Santa’s Sustainable House

A fully staged Santa workshop connected festive storytelling, playful interaction and practical sustainability education within Winter City.

Santa’s Sustainable House formed a centrepiece of Winter City 2023 at Expo City Dubai, combining a familiar festive attraction with the city’s commitment to responsible living.

The creative proposition was deliberately simple: sustainability should be experienced through the magic of Santa’s world rather than presented as a separate educational message.

Evolution designed and constructed an immersive house in which elves, workshop activity, interactive moments and eco-conscious details allowed families to encounter practical ideas within a playful seasonal story.

    The Challenge

Environmental education can feel disconnected from a festive family attraction when information is added as signage after the experience has been designed. The content needed to influence the setting, activities and guest interaction from the beginning.

The house also had to operate as part of the wider Winter City narrative. Its identity needed to feel distinctive while remaining visually and spatially connected to the larger seasonal destination at Expo City Dubai.

Evolution Events bespoke Christmas house constructed with eco-conscious materials and themed detailing

    The Solution

Evolution designed and constructed Santa’s House using sustainable materials and eco-conscious elements aligned with Expo City’s wider values.

The interior was developed as a fully staged workshop populated by jolly elves. This made sustainable practices part of the action and storytelling rather than a formal lesson delivered outside the festive experience.

Interactive moments invited visitors to participate, giving families a direct relationship with the themes being introduced while preserving the joy and whimsy expected of a Santa attraction. The architecture, décor and programme were integrated with the wider Winter City environment, allowing the house to function as one chapter within the complete seasonal visitor journey.

    Delivery Highlights

    • Centre piece attraction within Winter City 2023 at Expo City Dubai.
    • Santa’s House designed and constructed using sustainable materials.
    • Fully staged immersive workshop with live elf characters.
    • Interactive experiences introducing practical sustainability ideas.
    • Festive storytelling developed around environmental responsibility.
    • Visual and operational integration with the wider Winter City narrative.
Rustic desk, world map and children’s letters inside Santa’s Sustainable House

    Outcome

Santa’s Sustainable House made environmental learning feel natural within a festive family experience. Children and adults encountered the ideas through character, activity and atmosphere rather than stepping outside the story to receive information.

The completed attraction retained the warmth and imagination of Santa’s world while giving Expo City’s sustainability commitment a visible and engaging seasonal expression.

  • DSS Gahwa Beats

Standalone circular event branding backdrop panel illuminated with warm accent spotlighting

For Dubai Summer Surprises 2025, Evolution partnered with Energie Entertainment on Gahwa Beats, a series delivered across ToDA, Sky Views Observatory, Dubai Mall Ice Rink, Roxy Cinemas Jumeirah and Deep Dive Dubai.

The format brought coffee culture and live music together in venues with very different identities. The design therefore needed to be compact, recognisable and operationally flexible enough to travel while still creating a strong focal point at every location.

Evolution developed a small family of functional brand objects: two coffee counters, a dedicated DJ counter and a photo-opportunity booth, each capable of supporting service, entertainment and audience engagement.

    The Challenge

As the series spanned multiple venues, the experience needed to be adaptable rather than dependent on a single fixed environment. Each element had to perform consistently across immersive theatres, observation decks, ice rinks and diving venues, with every location presenting its own access requirements and operational considerations

The branded pieces also had to function under live use. Coffee service, DJ equipment and guest photography placed practical demands on surfaces, storage, cable management and sightlines.

Energetic dancers performing choreography under immersive ambient lighting during Dubai Summer Surprises event

    The Solution

Evolution fabricated three custom counters with a shared visual language: two designed for coffee service and one engineered around the DJ setup. Applied event branding made the pieces immediately recognisable as part of Dubai Summer Surprises.

The counters were designed as working infrastructure and audience-facing scenery at the same time. Their proportions, finishes and branding allowed service teams and performers to operate efficiently while giving guests a clear place to gather.

A dedicated photo-opportunity booth added a participatory touchpoint, extending the activation beyond consumption and entertainment into shareable guest interaction.

Professional DJ deck hire completed the system, linking the scenic treatment with the technical requirements of the music programme across all five venues.

    Delivery Highlights

    • Gahwa Beats series delivered across five Dubai locations.
    • Two custom counters fabricated for coffee service.
    • One custom counter designed to house the DJ setup.
    • Branded photo-opportunity booth for guest engagement.
    • Applied Dubai Summer Surprises branding across all elements.
    • Full professional DJ deck hire and technical support.

    Outcome

Gahwa Beats gained a recognisable physical identity that could travel between dramatically different venues without losing its function or character. Coffee, music and photography were brought together through a concise set of branded elements.

The activation succeeded through portability and precision: each piece did practical work while also creating the visual centre around which the audience experience formed.
